In the 1870s and 1880s Gilbert and Sullivan collaborated on writing 11 great works that created a legacy that continues even today. Their light operas are still performed today in concert halls and theatres all over the world.
 
This beautifully packaged collection  features over 80 of their best loved songs and choruses.
The recordings are among the finest available, made by  the D’Oyle Carte Opera Company conducted by Isidore Godfrey and the Pro Arte Orchestra and The Glyndebourne Festival Chorus conducted by Sir Malcom Sargent.
