Moe Bandy – Cowboy
CD 1 - Moe Bandy – 20 Songs From The Wild West
CD 2 - 20 Songs From The Golden Age Of The Westerns
The adventurers and explorers of nineteenth century America often found themselves spending their night-times around cowboy campfires in the middle of nowhere. Many of these folks originated from Ireland and Scotland and sought solace in the ballads from back home.– one of the most famous of all being "The Streets Of Loredo" which originated as an Irish ballad called 'The Bard of Armagh' . The plaintive songs lifted the Cowboy's mood and, as the west was won, so many popular songs eulogising the cowboy were written.
This unique release from H&H Music contains 40 of these songs. CD1 by Moe Bandy, was produced by Ray Baker in Nashville and perfectly captures the cowboy spirit. CD2 includes 20 original hit recordings from the 1950s cowboy movies.
